I guess this technically counts as art, so here. Hope I don't crash the board from too many images or anything. Here's my home in Minecraft. I call it the Hollow, because it's built into a big natural hole in the ground.
Here's the entrance. You can see it's mostly glass, with a cobblestone perimeter. There's a door set into a higher glass area, with a 1x1 doggy door and stairs leading down into the main area. Let's head down there now.
Here we are inside. The floor is actually wool carpeting, with a pattern of died gray and purple wool in the center. Here you can see my cake station, the doghouse, and the inner house. We'll go there first.
"Home Sweet Home" (You can tell I like lining doors with glass, huh?)
So here's the bed, and a painting for decoration. You can also see the chest where I store my more precious mining finds (iron, gold, diamond, buckets of lava, etc.)
If you turn just to the left you can see my other chests, one for loot (various things) and one for spare cobblestone and dirt.
The inner house is a small t-shape, so directly across from the bed is my workbench and main furnace (you can just see one of the other two off to the side there), and my monument to the slime I found and brutally murdered. There's a single slimeball in that chest.
Back outside and between the library and doghouse is my cake station. It's kind of sad really. It's all dressed up and waiting for guests that are never going to come...
On a less depressing note, we have the library! (Quiet Please!). It's still in production right now, so only one wall of books is done, until I get more books to fill it with anyway. I'll show you where I get those later. Let's take a peek inside.
Pretty empty right now. The side with the painting will eventually become a sitting area. The floor in here is wool as well, with a checkered border around a red ring. There's an opening under glass where a few more torches are, just making sure the large area has enough light to read by. (And so that giant spiders don't spawn in and drop on my head.) Additional lighting is provided along the walls and from four small chandeliers set in the ceiling. Now leaving the library and directly to the right...
The stairs into the Hollow! Careful, up there be monsters.
Further along the same wall is the entrance to the mineshaft. It goes straight to bedrock, with landings for the basement (a massive cave system), a branch mine (in progress) and a mob trap (planned).
Long way down, huh.
To the left of the mineshaft is the entrance to the underground farm area! There's a windy hallway lined with chests of seeds, saplings and wheat, so I skipped that.
First stop is the wheat farm. All farm rooms are ten by five, and the wheat farm has two three by three tilled patches of soil, separated by a two by three channel of water to keep the soil moist. The stone bridge goes directly over the water.
Past the wheat farm is the sugarcane farm! Here's where the material for book-making is. It is also five by ten, with four rows of three sugarcane with rows of water between. In the hall connecting this room with the wheat room is a chest with sugarcane, sugar, paper and books, and a workbench specifically for book making.
Past that and down a flight of stairs is the tree farm! Saplings are placed on patches of dirt with six blocks of air above them to give them room to grow, with at least one torch at every level. They don't grow very fast...
But it does work! This makes the fourth tree in my tree farm to grow, I'll trim away those leaves, harvest the trunk and plant a new sapling.
The final stop on our tour, directly across from the farm, between the cake station and the inner house is the doghouse! Recently renovated after I found and befriended a back of six wolves. On the left is Ammy, Balto, and Blanca, while on the right we have Moro, Kiba, and Fenrir. Let's go meet them.
First on the left, Ammy and Balto.
Balto and Blanca on the end...
Back and the first on the right are Moro and Kiba...
Then Kiba and Fenrir on the end.
Storage for their dog food (porkchops, raw and cooked).
Night has fallen over the Hollow. I hope you enjoyed the tour!
Eventually, I'll have a tour of the outside, showing off some of my landmarks, and showing off some points of interest in my basement.
