Case 1: Turnabout Blackmail "Well? Where is it? You promised, remember?" "No. I'm not going to do this anymore." "Hahaha! Have you forgotten Vee? With these-" "I don't care. Do whatever you want with the pictures. It's not worth doing all this." His face twisted in rage. "You will! You'll listen to me or...or-!" Vee gasped in pain, crumpling to the ground. Enu stood over him, panting. "I warned you." Enu growled. He shook his head. "I can't get caught here...Who do I pin this on...?" His mind flashed back to the couple he had seen earlier. "Yeah...she'll do."June 15, 2:17 PM Distric Court Defendant Lobby No. 1 Phoenix sighed, standing in the court lobby. Max stood in front of him, looking determined. "Don't look so down, Mr. Wright!" she said, snapping Phoenix from his daze. "You can't give up on me!" Phoenix flashed her a reassuring smile. "Right, sure thing. I was just thinking everything over." he assured. My name is Phoenix Wright. I'm a pretty successful defense attorney. My case is fairly simple. This girl in front of me is Maxina Trent- my client. She accused of killing a man named Vee Speret. It's my job to prove she's innocent. She's a nice girl, and I believe in my client."Mr. Wright?" Max waved a hand. "It's time to go into the court." Phoenix nodded. The two walked in, ready to face the trial ahead.

June 15, 2:22 PM District Court Courtroom No. 1 The judge brought his gavel down, silencing the chatter in the room. "Court is now in session for the trial of Maxina Trent." he announced. "The prosecution is ready, Your Honor." the prosecutor, a bald, meek looking man stated. "The defense is ready, Your Honor." Phoenix said calmly. The judge nodded. "Will the prosecution give its opening statement?" "Of course." Payne nodded. "The victim was a young man by the name of Vee Speret. He is the brother of Vexel Speret, Ms. Trent's current boyfriend. Around 6:30 PM on June 14, he was strangled from behind with a scarf or cloth of some kind. This necklace was found in his hand." Payne produced a gold chain with a pendant that looked like a little fire threaded on it. "It belongs to the defendant." The judge nodded. "The court accepts this necklace into evidence." (Max's Necklace added to the Court Record) "Will the prosecution call it's first witness?" Payne nodded. "The Prosecution calls Enu Gamble." he announced. "He was walking in the park and witnessed the murder."

((This is where everything starts. Whoever is playing Phoenix must post that they are raedy so that the witness can give their testimony. The testimony will be given in "statements", which represent panels of text. Once the testimony is up, Phoenix will decide whether to press a certain statement or present evidecne somewhere. If they need a hint, just say so.))

((I guess I'm Pheonix, then.)) Pheonix straightened his coat, looking at the judge. "The defense is ready, your honor."

The judge nodded. A young man about Phoenix's age took the stage. He was fairly attractive, with slicked back brown hair and black eyes, with five black dots branded on his forehead. He was dressed in a black tuxedo, and was tossing some dice in the air casually. "Witness, state your name and occupation." Payne said, looking at the man. "Enu Gamble," the man said in a bored tone. "Blackjack dealer." The judge nodded. "Very well, witness. Tell us what you saw that evening." Enu smirked. "But of course." Witness Testimony Enu Gamble --What I Witnessed-- Statement 1: It was a pleasant evening, so I decided to stroll through the park. Statement 2: I had intended to meet someone, but our plans were cancelled. I walked further than normally, since I had the time to kill. Statement 3: When through the trees, I saw it! A man was being strangled! I stood in terror, unable to do anything. Statement 4: Both of the people were easily recognizable. I could point out the girl's face anywhere. It's that pretty lady sitting in the defendant's chair there. Statement 5: Naturally I was in shock after seeing someone killed. I called the police immediately, of course. It was probably around 6:45... The judge nodded. "I see. Mr. Wright, you may cross examine the witness."

A small smile crossed Pheonix's lips. The first lies were the easiest to find. "OBJECTION!" "Mr... Gambler, was it?" he asked casually, shaking his head. "You should know lying so early on destroys your credibility." <presents autopsy report at statement 6>

Enu frowned. "Lying? Whatever do you mean?" he asked casually. Despite his tone, the hand tossing the dice faltered, and sweat beaded on his face. "What is that you're holding there...?"

Pheonix smiled, shaking his head. "Mr. Gambler, you said, in your testimony, that the events you witnessed occured around 6:45. However, the time of death is clearly stated as 6:30." Pheonix, carried away in the tide of court battle, slammed his fist on the desk. "How do you explain this 15 minute discrepancy!?"

Enu flinched, his dice clattering to the floor. "GAH!" "OBJECTION!" Payne shouted. "The witness was clearly in shock from the murder! He simply was confused about the time!" Both Enu and Payne were sweating profusely.

Pheonix shook his head. "A fifteen minute discrepancy is not a little matter, Prosecutor. If our witness can not establish an alibi for the fifteen minutes surrounding the death, I submit he could have been involved."

"Oh yes! I-I remember!" Enu cried, sweating. "I'd be happy to explain everything." he composed himself, smiling. The judge brought his gavel down swiftly. "The witness will testify about this time discrepancy." Enu smirked. Witness Testimony Enu Gamble --Those 15 Minutes-- Statement 1: When I had gone to meet my associate, I tried to call him, to see when he would arrive. Statement 2: When he never showed up, I set my phone down on the bench. Statement 3: When I went walking, I didn't have it with me, so I couldn't use it to call the police. Statement 4: I spent those 15 minutes looking for a pay phone. That's all it was. The judge nodded. "I see. THat makes sense. I forget things all the time." Payne cleared his throat. "I have here, the witness's cell phone. It was found almost a block from the crime scene." The judge nodded. "THe court accepts this phone into evidence." (Enu's Phone added to the court record)

Maxina frowned, looking at Mr. Wright. "That's not true, I saw his phone in his pocket when he took my necklace." She mumbled.

Pheonix bit his lip. <presses statement 1> "Could you explain who this associate is, and why you were meeting up with him?"

Enu blinked. "My associate? What does that have to do with this case?" he asked, frowning.
