OOC: I don't know where my sudden songfic obsession came from...but this isn't spellchecked or anything...but the idea won't leave me alone...so...
Reno grimaced, holding a hand to his cheek. His wounds were still bleeding, and he was starting to feel light-headed. He had screwed up. The President might die because of him. It was all his fault...and now he had to answer to everyone.
"Why have you come back?" Tseng asked coldly. Reno winced.
"Tseng...I had nothing to do with-"
"You don't belong here." Tseng said icily.
"Tseng...I didn't-" Reno pleaded.
"Tseng, please...listen to him." Elena pleaded quietly.
"Silence!" Tseng spat. He turned back to Reno. "When you first joined the Turks, you asked for judgement...and I pass it now." All the soldiers muttered agreement. "Exile!" Reno's mind went numb. Exile...? He had to get out of here...he was going to die...
"No!" Elena cried. Reno couldn't think straight. He was still losing blood, and the shock had sent him reeling. He could hear voices, and he couldn't tell if they were from the soldiers, or if he were just imagining them. He backed towards the door as a group of the lower ranking men started towards him. "No!" Elena cried. She ran forward, only to be stopped by Rude. "Reno!"
Deception. Disgrace. Evil as plain as the scar on his face.
Reno ran. His mind was in a fog, and he held a hand to the scar on his cheek. The soldiers gave chase. Where was the exit? He had to get out...
Deception. (An outrage!) Disgrace. (For shame!) He asked for trouble the moment he came. (See you later, agitator!)
Reno fell against a wall, breathing hard. He could hear the soldiers right behind him. "Dammit..." he hissed. "Why did I join this stupid thing anyway?"
Deception (An outrage!) Disgrace. (For shame!) He asked for trouble the moment he came. (See you later, agitator!) Born in grief, raised in hate, helpless to defy his fate. Let him run; let him live- but do not forget what we cannot forgive!
Finally, he found a way out. He stumbled into the alleyway, collapsing. He forced himself to his feet, looking back at the men in the doorway.
And he is not one of us. He has never been one of us! He is not part of us...not our kind! Someone once lied to us- now we're not so blind. For we know he would do what he's done. And we know that he'll never be one of us! (He is not one of us...)
Reno glanced at a puddle on the ground. He looked back, frowning. He didn't see his face, he saw green eyes, and black triangles underneath his eyes. "What the h..."
Deception. Disgrace. Deception. Disgrace. Deception...
"Axel? You alright?" Axel sat up, snapped out of his daydream.
"Yeah...yeah, I'm fine..." Demyx frowned, but didn't press the matter.
"I know you're worried about Roxas." Demyx sighed. "But it's for the best...he's not one of us." Axel's head jerked up. He stood suddenly, nearly knocking over his chair. "Where are you going?" Demyx asked, frowning.
"I have to find Roxas." Axel said. He opened a portal, and he was gone.
